MOVE
MOVE!® is a national weight management program designed by the VA National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (NCP), a part of the Office of Patient Care Services, to help Veterans lose weight, keep it off and improve their health.
The MOVE!® Program offers several options for treatment. All options emphasize a lifestyle approach to weight loss that is very patient centered. We help and encourage patients to incorporate healthy lifestyle changes focused on better nutrition and fitness while addressing their individual likes and dislikes. One size doesn’t fit all!
Patients are offered follow up and monitoring as they desire. We'd like to share with you some additional details about the options for treatment. The above philosophy runs through all levels described in the MOVE!® Program.
A consult is required from your medical provider for participation in any aspect of the program.
Self Management Support
More resources can be found at the National MOVE!® web site. You may decide this is all you need to get started and continue on your own. But if you'd like to have a localized, targeted plan, please call Diane Longerbone at (317) 988-4794.

Clinical Video TeleHealth (CVT)
CVT options are available for those living a distance from the medical center and receive care at one of the facility's Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOCs). You attend at the CBOC close to your home and we transmit in real time with you
Tele-MOVE!® Home TeleHealth
TeleMOVE is a good option if you enjoy technology and prefer a more convenient program in the comfort of your own home on your time schedule. This self-weight management option offers daily communication via an in home Telehealth monitoring device and scale. It provides guidance through a series of daily questions related to healthy lifestyle changes, physical activity, healthy eating and behavior change. You are assigned a care coordinator who monitors your daily interaction and will contact you as session information warrants or by Veteran request.
