Your Donation
Your generous donation helps furnish the Dr. Otis Bowen Veteran House and provides for the program needs of our guests at a time when they need it most.
Any amount of monetary donation is appreciated. You can make a donation in person at the Indianapolis VA medical center, or mail it to:
Roudebush VA Medical Center
Voluntary Service (135)
1481 West Tenth Street
Indianapolis, Indiana 46202
(make payable Indianapolis VAMC and indicate General Post Fund 7288)
In-kind Donation
This is a wonderful opportunity for service organizations, communities, churches, schools, families and individuals to actively participate in providing much needed items to Veterans and families in need. The Veteran House is just like your home and our guests will use many of the daily items you use. In-kind donations of these items will allow us to stretch our donated dollars that much further.
Examples of possible in-kind donations of new items include paper products, laundry detergent, dish soap and toiletries. Here's the most updated list of needed items, or you can contact the Program Manager.
Planned Giving
Devises and bequests can be given to VA. This allows supporters to plan long-term gifts to help Veterans. Please contact Voluntary Service for more information on how to do this.
Although the VA is not a 501(c)(3) organization, the Internal Revenue Service authorizes donations made to the VA to be tax deductible (Federal Tax Code - "Donations to the United States"). The VA ensures all contributions are used efficiently and responsibly. 100% of every contribution goes directly to benefit Veterans and their families.
