Telehealth technology securely brings the right care, to the right place, at the right time.

One of the fastest growing technologies in VA health care is Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT). Veterans who qualify for this health information technology are getting the right care, at the right place, at the right time. CVT decreases travel and increases your health care access.

CVT helps you access the best health care without having to make long trips to go see a specialist in person. Using this advanced expertise and equipment, our doctors use CVT to provide you with the care you need as effectively as they can with a traditional face-to-face appointment.

Current CVT services include:

  • Mental Health, including group and individual therapy, and rehabilitation services
  • Nutrition & Dietary
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Dermatology
  • MOVE (weight management)
  • Chaplain Services
  • Marriage Counseling
  • Anger Management
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Outpatient Substance Use programs
  • Genetic Counseling
  • Interventional Pain
  • Pre and Post Surgery clinical services
  • Pharmacy

This secure video conferencing based care enables real-time interaction between the Veteran and the clinician. The appointment looks a lot like a face-to-face appointment that a Veteran would travel to. Veterans typically go to a convenient location in their community, a staff member escorts them to the CVT Room, and the cameras, speakers and monitors allows clear communications. The staff member will then take care of any followup needs and/or appointment scheduling.
