RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The Indianapolis VA Medical Center houses a research and development program with Health Service Research, Rehabilitation Research, Medical, and Clinical Medical Research funding.  Important topics include implementation science, stroke, cholesterol, cardiology, hypertension, diabetes, and renal disease. 

The Research program at Indianapolis currently hosts 104 Principal Investigators engaged in 293 research projects. Our strengths include nephrology, oncology, diabetes research, and health services. We also have a team of rehabilitation researchers seeking to improve lives of those suffering from schizophrenia.
