VTS is a new program that gives Veterans a ride to their medical center and outlying clinics.

Who's eligible?

Veterans who have scheduled appointments at a VA health care facility.  Veterans coming in for walk-in appointments are also eligible. (Note: travel pay is not available to Veterans who use this free service) 

How do I schedule a ride?

Your primary care provider can set up your ride, or you can call the VTS Office (317) 988-2472.

Currently VTS is covering Marion County. Expansion plans are in place.

Do the Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) also offer this new service?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Contact your provider or the VTS Office.

What are the rules for riding?

Please review the patient rider agreement and  guidelines.

Can my caregiver ride with me?

Any Veteran may be accompanied by ONE caregiver, spouse or family member. We ask that caregivers come along only if the Veteran has a medical condition that requires assistance helps with communication with his/her medical team. The caregiver must be 18 years of age or older.
